Summer is always a crazy time in the rental market, but with last week's historic bill package in Albany and the ongoing fight in City Council here in NYC, it's only getting weirder.

I think the best solution lies somewhere between what the two sides want, but there's not a lot of nuance in the press coverage. So I'm attempting to debunk the clickbait headlines and get into what's ACTUALLY going on and how it could affect both renters and landlords. Look out for more in the coming weeks.

For my buyers and sellers, summer definitely marks a slowdown, but properties will always move in NYC. And if the dream home you've been eyeing is still on the market, now could be a great time to make an offer and get a deal.

New York to Approve One of the World’s Most Ambitious Climate Plans

There's definitely an environmental theme to this newsletter (scroll down for more), and it comes with the territory.

NYC is at sea level, meaning we are vulnerable to storms and rising sea levels. But the whole state has agreed on a plan to reduce and offset planet-warming pollution to a "net-zero" level by 2050. This
